Thanks for the input I really appreciate it! I am concerned about Guy Named Sue's immediate assessment that this is not a legitimate Custom Shop guitar. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Assuming that the seller does not have that Fender Certificate, are there any other specific things that I should look for to confirm its authenticity when I physically inspect this guitar, without disassembling it? I am not a Strat afficionado, though I do own a 2008 American Deluxe Strat. I am able to go and see the guitar, as it is only a short drive away. I have asked the seller if they have the Fender Certificate of Authenticity, but have not heard back on that. SE92 serials were on the first SRV Strats and those came out in 1992. I think it's authentic I just don't know what model it is.

There won't be any serial numbers or anything that matches the neck serial in the neck pocket or on the body. Can anyone help me to verify what this guitar is? Thanks, Tom Click to expand. I have only seen pictures, so I can't provide much more info. The guitar has an HSS pickup configuration. The tuners are locking tuners, and the nut is a roller nut. Can anyone help me to verify what this guitar is? I have searched the Fender database, and I cannot find any information regarding this serial number.
